Lindsey began dancing at age 2 at Debbie Bennett Green School of Dance in Victoria, TX. In 1st grade she joined the competition team and later earned a spot on the Victoria Strutters junior high drill team. She continued on the high school drill team, where she served as Junior Lieutenant and 1st Senior Captain.
She attended Texas State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Dance Education and Business while performing with the Texas State Strutters. During this time, Lindsey also began teaching at Dance Unlimited in Buda, TX.
In 2013, Lindsey opened First Class Dance Center in San Marcos, FCDC was a national award winning studio with a strong competitive team. After having her first child, she stepped away from studio ownership to focus on family while continuing to pursue her passion for teaching.
Lindsey is excited to bring her experience in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, high kick, and pom to New Braunfels with Standout Dance Center. She believes dance teaches valuable life skills such as discipline, respect, determination, confidence, and dedication, and she is committed to providing every student with quality instruction.
Olivia began dancing at age 4 at Ballet New Braunfels, training in ballet, tap, and jazz. At 8, she began competitive dance and continued competing in multiple styles through her senior year. She attended New Braunfels High School, where she was a member of the Varsity Monoceras drill team.
In college, Olivia danced with the Texas State University Strutters and performed in the opening of the 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. She earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2021 through Texas State’s yoga teacher training program.
Olivia graduated from Texas State University in 2023 with a BFA in Dance Education and a minor in Exercise & Sports Science, and later became a certified dance educator through TEA. She is excited to be in her 7th year at Standout and looks forward to continuing to watch her students grow.
Georgia began dancing recreationally and competitively in elementary school. She graduated from Canyon High School in 2019, where she served as 1st Lieutenant of the nationally recognized Varsity Aristocats dance team and was named a national senior solo finalist at Crowd Pleasers Nationals.
Georgia began teaching at Standout when it opened in 2019, later taking two years away to complete her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Dance from Sam Houston State University. While at SHSU, she was a member of the Orange Pride collegiate dance team for the 2021–2022 season.
Georgia graduated in December 2023 and plans to continue her studies in clinical psychology while teaching at Standout. She strives to create a fun, nurturing, and supportive environment where dancers can grow both in and out of the studio.
Maleah began dancing at age three at Dance Unlimited in Buda, Texas, and started competing in multiple dance styles at age six. After moving to New Braunfels, she trained at First Class Dance Center, where she danced intensively and was part of several award-winning routines.
Maleah developed a strong passion for acro and tumbling, which led her to competitive cheerleading in 2016. Through cheer, she had the opportunity to compete at the World Cheerleading Championships twice.
Maleah is currently a senior at Texas State University majoring in Elementary Education. She is excited for her seventh season at Standout and looks forward to meeting all of her students!
Ms. Amy discovered her love for dance at age 5 after attending a summer camp at Busby Dancenter in Victoria, Texas. In 4th grade she performed in her first Nutcracker and continued performing with the Victoria Ballet Theatre from 5th–12th grade, dancing roles such as Clara, Snow Queen, and Sugar Plum Fairy. She also performed in classical ballets including Swan Lake, The Firebird, and Coppelia, touring throughout Texas, New York, and Europe.
During high school, Ms. Amy assisted and taught dance classes for ages 3–10. She returned to teaching in 2017 and enjoys teaching classical ballet and tap. In 2020, she became a certified Progressing Ballet Technique instructor. Ms. Amy believes dance builds strength, creativity, teamwork, and discipline while allowing students to express themselves.
